Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It uses combinations of asana, breath, mantra, and mudra to create an intense turning inward while allowing for freedom in movement. It’s all about you connecting to the amazing being you are!
In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body. The technology precisely and consciously combines the elements of meditation; breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purifiy the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul…and works with what is the sacred force of energy called kundalini.
The foundation of the yoga rests on the idea that life force (or kundalini energy) comes to us at birth and leaves us at death. With practice, we can effectively work with this powerful energy during our lifetime.
The coiled kundalini (frequently represented by the image of a serpent) typically lies dormant, at the base of our spine or sacrum. So with serpent coiled and sleeping at our base, the practice of Kundalini Yoga starts to unlock that door and ever so slowly, our personal serpent starts to slither it’s way up through the Chakras, waking up and igniting them one by one (hence the term ‘Kundalini rising’) until it reaches the top, the crown Chakra, attaining deep levels of meditation, self-realization, empowerment, and enlightenment.
The yoga taught here has it’s basis in Kundalini Yoga and is focused on the expression of your personal experience of yogic awakening. We ground it into your current reality –creating an increasing lifetime experience of peace, calm, empowerment, and right action.
