In the majority of meditation & yoga sessions, we use the following mantras chants, or songs:
Ong Namo repeated 3x’s
I bow to the subtle divine wisdom, the divine teacher within
Prayer of Protection repeated 5x’s
Aad guray nameh, jugaad guray nameh
Sat guray nameh, siree guroo dayv-ay nameh
I bow to the primal wisdom,
I bow to the wisdom true through the ages.
I bow to the true wisdom. I bow to the great unseen wisdom.
Long Time Sun Song repeated 2x’s
May the long time sun shine upon you,
All love surround you,
and the pure light within you,
guide your way on.
Sat Nam chanted in one long breath 1x
Truth is my identity
(Sat means truth – the reality of one’s existence & Nam means the identity)
The mantras are in the ancient language of Sanskrit and are frequently used for Kundalini Yoga.
